Sources
The development of this website was primarily funded by a
grant from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA),
Economic and Community Systems Unit. Cooperative Extension
nationwide is uniquely positioned to offer unbiased research-based
financial management education regarding financing long term
care. This project serves as a model for national extension
programs by effectively using technology as one means to increase
access to research-based resources at land-grant universities.
This project specifically supports Cooperative Extension's
National Initiative, "Financial Security in Later Life."

A special thank-you to Jane Schuchardt and Nancy Porter, National
Program Leaders and co-leaders of the initiative for their
support and role in this project. In addition, resources from
the College of Human Ecology, Family Social Science, University
of Minnesota Extension Service, and Agricultural Experiment
Station Project, "Financing long term care and later
life financial security: A family perspective," have
contributed to the development of this website.
