  • Assisted living costs approximately $2,000 per month.
    According to the American Health Care Association (AHCA), "assisted living provides relatively independent seniors with supervision, assistance, and limited health care services in a home-like atmosphere. Assisted living services can include 24-hour protective oversight, food, shelter, and a range of services that promote the quality of life of the individual" (AHCA, 2001). The AHCA reports that assisted living costs average $2,000 a month.
